Meet The Staff

Heidi – Treatment Coordinator

Heidi first started in the dental field as a registered dental assistant in 2003. After 6 years of working chairside, she made her transition to the front office. Heidi’s warm spirit and big smile welcomes everyone to our practice. When she’s not in the office she stays busy spending time with her family at the baseball field and the beach.

Sue – Registered Dental Assistant

Sue, our long time Dental Assistant has been with our office since 2005. She started dentistry over 40 years ago and is still loving it. The part of her job she enjoys most is making patients feel comfortable and at ease. She enjoys biking, camping, the beach and practically anything outdoors. Sue’s favorite time is now spent playing with her grandson.

Paige- Registered Dental Hygienist

Paige enthusiastically joined our dental team after graduating Cum Laude from Loma Linda University with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. Paige comes from a dental family with her father Dr. Peter Nordland DDS, MS and mother Kathleen Nordland, RDH who have practiced together for over 25 years in La Jolla. She truly enjoys making meaningful connections with her patients and helping them take pride in their oral health. When she is not in the dental chair she is in the sand playing beach volleyball. She also enjoys hiking and traveling.

Cheryl- Registered Dental Hygienist

Cheryl has been in dentistry for over 20 years. She became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2010, when she graduated from Southwestern College.

Cheryl will greet you with a warm smile and looks forward to getting to know our patients!
In her spare time, she spends time with her husband and 2 children. They love doing all activities outdoors and enjoy various sporting events.

Lisa- Registered Dental Hygienist

Lisa has been a dental hygienist for over 20 years and most of them have been spent at our dental office. She became a Registered Dental Hygienist in the year 2000, when she graduated from University of Nebraska Medical Center. She enjoys getting to know our patients and making sure they feel welcome and comfortable. When she is not at our office she spends her time teaching part time to help others to become dental hygienists, a career she loves. In 2023, she started her own company LivelyHeart CPR where she offers CPR training courses. She also enjoys spending time traveling and being with her family in her free time.

Dr. Allison Chan- Dental Associate

Dr. Allison Chan was thrilled to continue her family’s rich heritage of Loma Linda dental graduates by completing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Loma Linda University. Dr. Allison is not only excited to work alongside her uncle (Dr. Curtis Chan), but she is also committed to providing the same comprehensive dental care that her uncle has been providing for over 30 years. It is her goal to treat every patient with the utmost kindness, respect, compassion, and ensure that each patient leaves the office with a healthier and brighter smile. Beyond the office, Dr. Allison finds joy in the company of family and friends, relishing a variety of activities including cooking, baking, rock climbing, competitive fencing and running.

Mae – HR & Marketing Specialist

Mae joined the dental team when she married her husband, Dr. Chan. She has always been behind the scenes in the dental office. With a marketing degree from San Diego State University, she enjoys handling marketing and promotions for the dental office through social media, community service projects like the candy drive for the troops, and office promotions. Mae enjoys having a floral business on the side where she specializes in beautiful florals for weddings, event and celebrations.
